This really is an incredible price for an excellent Champagne! I have bought 12 bottles already and am concerned I haven’t bought enough – I opened one on Saturday for Halloween and it was just as good as I remembered. This wine is Blanc de Noirs, so only made from the two red grapes traditionally found in Champagne; Pinot Meunier (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) but without the third which is Chardonnay. Although made from red grapes it is not a rosé champagne and has the structure and roundness you would expect from both grapes. Yeasty with subtle notes of grilled nuts this is pretty, balanced and delicious. I really can’t recommend this enough.

£3.49 @ Co-op (save 50p until 24th November) Blue Nivea shower gel bottle

With Autumn upon us and it being Fireworks Night tonight, but enjoyed around the country throughout the weekend, what better time to recommend a warming, spicy glass of red! This takes me back years to the time I had to make mulled wine on TV and buying it already prepared sure takes the time and preparation out of things! A delicious seasonal drink with notes of cinnamon and orange, almost like a wintery Sangria, though sunny summer already feels a long time ago.
